Ladies Day Out- 5

Day 5 : Thekkady

Early morning by 5.30 we were up and ready to rush to our next holiday destination!

I had forgotten what messy things happened yesterday and was determined to enjoy this day. Because you never know if you'll get a second chance of anything. So enjoy the present to the fullest. Specially the place was something I like to visit! Wildlife, bird and nature I love!

We were supposed to take a boat ride and it had it's timing. 6.30am I guess. We were running late. Got a quick auto, did tickets and all and rushed to the spot. Literally ran to catch up the boat. Once seated I had sighed ...

The place was so so beautiful. I did not regret reaching here. Water everywhere and jungles on the side. The guide showed us many mammals and birds. My excitement knew no bound. Around two hours we enjoyed the ride and were back in land. I shopped there some tees and a cap from me and friends! I can't help taking gifts back home. I again paid a good guide there and we walked to spot more birds of Kerala there. He spotted and showed me a great lot many! Woah, thankful to him. Always.

My friend wasn't overall interested in all these but she had no choice so she was struck to phone while I enjoyed my walk. Finally we paid him and were back to our hotel. We had a hefty local lunch and took a bus to the city Cochin!!!!!

Fun at office in Diwali !

After a long time I had some fun that too in office and the occasion was Diwali celebration. :D Our HR dept. initiated this Ethnic wear day, Rangoli Competition and Room Decoration competition on Saturday i.e. two days before Diwali. We all enjoyed a lot, wore traditional clothes, made rangoli and in the room decoration we took the theme of 'Rangela Mela'. We created lots of funfair comical shops and enjoyed a lot making it typical like a local mela. I created a Photo Booth stall. 8-)

Best part was, we got best Decorated room award and got free tickets for all room members for any movie. So on the whole we all 24 people are going for Jab Tak Hai Jaan movie this saturday ;)

Let pictures say the rest!!!! :) Have a look :::::::

A lunch out with office mates

After some planing and finding a date, we finally made a plan this Sunday afternoon. The plan was a little get together at Momi's place. Ofcourse she was cooking for 3 of us, Me, Tripti and Pooja. ;) Momi's husband included in being the host.

The afternoon it rained heavily and it was difficult to reach up. Late but we finally searched and reached and had a good time there. :)

A Radio Interview :D :)

Hey I had an interview as a Photographer on radio on Big 92.7 FM today :)

Thanx to RJ Rajiv who was cool enuf to call me :)

It all started with a fren request in Facebook reminding me that we were friends in Orkut (another Social Networking Service). I remembered him as a RJ long time back and then he asked if I would like to talk on Radio on photography. I was like 'What me!' 'Are you Kidding' 'I'm shit scarred' :P But then we finally fixed a time to have the interview.

Saturday around 3.30.

There I was in time with Udayan which meant another photographer to be interviewed. I actually thought him to be interviewed next time, but then we made it together :D

After a little chit chat with the RJ, and some sense nonsense talks, we were into the recording studio from where he was heard to the masses. We were given Mikes over our faces and then very casually asked questions. He was sounding low and me high...and hearing my voice back, I hated it but laughed at it :P

Were interviewed like how we started on Photography, what we liked to photograph, what we have for enthusiastic photographers and some more about it. :)

We even repeated some of our lines that went gibberish :D we were still scared :P But it was all fun too.

RJ Ranjiv was cool for our mistakes too :P that made things easy. But seriously voicing for radio even when people don't see you isn't a easy task. take my words. :/

Hats off to people who made made it in the Radio world.

Our interview was over, quickly edited and was about to be played live. We didn't really know whom to ask in our friends circle to hear us so we had a friendly chat with RJ Ranjiv, made a goodbye and came down to listen to ourselves.

we switched to the channel, waited to hear us. We knew we have messed it and now didn't wanted to hear out of embarrassment. Still with excitement and forgiving us as it was our first time on Radio we listened to ourselves. Not bad I would say :)

Thankyou Rajiv, your one amazing person. Overall it was a nice experience :)

life in a box

Around 9 i reach office, open Kwantify intranet portal and make myself logged in. I have to do this before the gracetime 9.10 otherwise i'll have to think of funny reasons on why i reached late. :p People out would say that this is a blessed job because u sit in ac, personal space, do some computer work and u knw...aaram aur izzat ki zindagi! ofcourse aisa hai, but only people like me..who love open air and nature and travelling and hangouts and moving around and photography and what not, know how painful it is to sit 8-9 hours watching a computer screen, in a box like space, glass on sides (so that u dont see them chatting on gtalk ;D), sitting at one place, hating the revolving chair for your backache, eyes watering with a clogged mind working on what to write next. That's coz i'm basically a content writer, writing and re-writing all what the company has to deal with. Its been 6 days i joined here, in this pvt company, working for the govt.

To join here was my own decision to learn and earn in my field of study. I like it. I'm not regretting but just initially I find it pain to be confined to a lonely place just to let my fingers type. I might take some more time to get used to this kinda life for my days half, to get used to strange people I tell you! To get used to looking dead serious but ending up looking exhausted and bored. You look up and find few heads in your front working (think so) Hmmm rest many strange people or so I feel coz i'm new here. Men all formally dressed except Saturdays and moving here and there, trying to work and gossiping to ladies in between. Women blushing and then back to work. In between i was feeling hell lonely :( , longing to talk to someone. I smsed my best fren and started a conversion. That felt really good :) . Few other friends also replied.

Now i'm among all these guys, following a certain trend on how to settle here. Learning all the work i could and what i have to. Sometimes understanding a certain project strains me a lot. i spend sleepless nights working on it but i guess its just becoz i dropped in between and later on things would be just fine, easy and comfortable. I feel weird and nervous. little scared sometimes but i'm confidant as well. Oh, so many emotions all mixed up! :( With all these hopes of gaining knowledge and growing and to be a part of this family soon, I end up this chapter of the weekend. Ciao :)

Luv all
