Ahoy September! :)

So my favorite month is here! SEPTEMBER !!!!

Quite a year it has been since my last birthday in September, traveling to new places, new work venture as an Artist, participating in exhibitions and lots of exciting things happened.

Meanwhile one of my closest friend's got married recently and wanted to share some pics :) I wore a simple Maheswari Saree with a neat blouse and some accessories. Do tell me, how my short hairs looked with the saree.

Back with my 'Tote Bags' !

Hey friends,
Sorry for being absent from blog. I actually got involved in a small business of my own and was busy setting it up. Finally got time to share all my adventures here. :-)

Besides being a photographer, I started a proper business outta my interests of sewing and painting; when a city bookstore gave me a chance to exhibit my hand-painted bags! They are Walking BookFairs. They have a neat little space which is a book store plus an open hangout place. They travel across in a van full of books to spread the word of reading habit. Read more - here! 

So they had this 'Book Mandi' coming up i.e. a flea market kind of event for a week. I decided to make and put up my bags there for sale, which I already make since a long time for myself. It was time to make more and promote myself as an artist and entrepreneur. An experiment to see how things go and I wasn't expecting much. :)

Fortunately, luckily, and with the love of my family and friends It worked out. My friends loved it. They came, they bought my bags, ordered and were happy with my initiative :) Special thanks to the Walking BookFair guys, for without them it wouldn't have been possible. You see one needs a charger to get things done. That was this! I'm happy :)

I had another event after that, will share the experience in next post :)

Fun at beach!

Sharing just a random post :-)

Beaches are one of my fav places to visit and relax. Planned a trip out with my dear 'ol college girls group and enjoyed as hell! We met after ages and had lots to gossip about :-D

This Puri beach is only one and half hour distance from my city. Puri is also famous for it's Jaganath temple :-)

My Shimla Trip - Day 3 and 4

Continuing my post from my last 'all-girls-hangout-trip' !  

On third day in Shimla, we took our booked cab and went for a city tour. It was good cold and we enjoyed our ride while sightseeing the beautiful places, covered in pine trees and scenic mountains with little houses all over it. We went to a adventure place and did go-karting (super-duper fun!), had awesome food, nibbled a lot, gossiped, laughed and enjoyed ourselves a lot :-)

Day fourth, we went in exploring a local wildlife sanctuary and a place called Naldehra. That was supposedly a golf place. We didn't took the local horse ride, but took a walk instead. It was a nice, green, hilly, chilly place. We had lots of tea and coffee in between of course ;-)

After this, with an overnight bus journey we were back to New Delhi.

Girls should definitely have such experience once. Chucking all responsibility and fear. Having all girls fun and exploring new places, people and food. There's a different kind of bonding one gets into and the fun is incomparable. You learn a lot, outta the comfort zone and come out with a different perspective than before :-)

My Delhi-Shimla trip - Day 1 and 2

Hey there,

Post my trip, I got busy in real life and forgot about the blog. Here I am NOW! Lemme finish all my this years updates in the blog.

So me and my friends made an all girls hangout trip to Shimla! It was super awesome! Last min plans, last min shopping, lots of messy hotch potch happenings yet we made it! Had an awesome time in the Shimla-Kalka Toy Train which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage list! Later visited the Mall road, Lakkar Bazaar and, had great food and had lots of fun. Watching and experiencing a new place, different people, super cold weather ... hmmmm nice :-)

I know I have been quite absent these days. Wanted to tell you that I'm off to another girls trip out! North India and of week long! Hope I have good adventures, experience and lots of fun!!! And of course photography!

A stage of life comes to an end ...

The fun part of CSM.. some awesomest memories. Missing it already... Apart from work, the friends, the celebration part, functions, the canteen, 4.pm tea time...in between gossips, gol-guppa treat downstairs .... so so many things....

 22.11.10: I started blogging from my office desk. It pushed me into blogging and the 1st post was about my initial days.

Now … 

4.09.13: Officially and logically I have quit my day job but emotionally I’m yet to accept a different routine of life. Out of all my life’s stages like school and colleges, my work life is my most favourite and I’m going to miss it a lot. I was into a disciplined routine of life; doing things at a certain fixed time and working within deadlines. I was in the habit of a earning and spending mode. And the best part was FRIENDS. Some very near and dear ones with whom the otherwise boring work place was FUN! I’m gonna miss the time a lot. ..

Fun at office in Diwali !

After a long time I had some fun that too in office and the occasion was Diwali celebration. :D Our HR dept. initiated this Ethnic wear day, Rangoli Competition and Room Decoration competition on Saturday i.e. two days before Diwali. We all enjoyed a lot, wore traditional clothes, made rangoli and in the room decoration we took the theme of 'Rangela Mela'. We created lots of funfair comical shops and enjoyed a lot making it typical like a local mela. I created a Photo Booth stall. 8-)

Best part was, we got best Decorated room award and got free tickets for all room members for any movie. So on the whole we all 24 people are going for Jab Tak Hai Jaan movie this saturday ;)

A lunch out with office mates

After some planing and finding a date, we finally made a plan this Sunday afternoon. The plan was a little get together at Momi's place. Ofcourse she was cooking for 3 of us, Me, Tripti and Pooja. ;) Momi's husband included in being the host.

The afternoon it rained heavily and it was difficult to reach up. Late but we finally searched and reached and had a good time there. :)
