Year of Travel :)

This whole while I had been on a continuous adventure spree. Trying my best to travel every month to a new place and explore what it got for me! And I think I have done good.

I literally worked-saved-traveled-repeated.

I tried covering all Indian sides; West, North, South, North-East and my own Eastern zone of India. I have really pushed my limits, tried new stuffs, took a little pain to see the world, challenged and surprised my own self.  I had many solo trips, one with friends group, few with sister and some organized tour. Truly the most loved ones were solo, because once you get the hang of solo-traveling and the freedom and comfort with it, there’s no looking back. I seriously got a boost of confidence like never before. I find myself as a changed person, while all these times I had been so much introverted. I still am but there’s a side of me who is wild and crazy.

I felt the beaches, I explored the mountains, I visited temples, I scuba-dived, I trekked, I went villages, I went cities, I was at archaeology sites, I went for bird-watching, I went to watch wildlife. I met folks, I let myself loose. I traveled in summer, winter and in rain. I photographed and I communicated.

Traveling had been soothing to me. Traveling had been healing to me. And traveling had been my rescue world.

If a budget women traveler can do it, then certainly you can do even better. Don’t think of saving a lot and then going on a tour. Start now. Go out. It doesn’t take much even with all the plannings and stuff. I’d be happy to help anyone who wants to go exploring, or any information I can give out of my adventures. Specially women travelers, you can drop an e-mail for any travel-related query.

I couldn’t give much of my time putting travel stories in the blog, but I have written all in my notebooks and this year I’ll be penning down all travel tales for you all.

India is beautiful. Go explore.

Happy Women's Day!

In short, Happy 'Me' Day!
Sorry for a late post.

Sometimes I love being the women I am. How I turned out to be in the given circumstances but sometimes I really hate myself and the situations I get myself into.

I love that I had to courage to leave my job for traveling, photography and to be an artist. I love that in the last few months I met new people, I saw new places, I had awesome experiences, I was into wildlife activities, I started painting, I got more into craft, I cut off my hair short (old wish) and that hair went for Cancer survivor donations. I love that I have been regular at blogging and other activities. I have taken the project to re-decor my home and breath in a new light. I love that I give a good time to my family and my pets and that have lots of hangouts with my girl-friends as well. I love that I started my swimming sessions and back on my health track. :-)

I hate that I procrastinate a lot of things, I hate that I laze off a lot. Sometimes I hate that I am unable to say no to people. I hate that I'm unable to make a lot of money. I hate that I still get a lot confused on what am I doing with my life :-(

Neverthless it's Me!

New Me!

Here’s a new me with a new hairstyle!

I had always loved my long hairs. Dark brown, naturally straight and soft mane of mine!
But I had always had this secret wish to go super short. And if not now, when?

And Deeply inspired by Smruti, who went bald for a great cause of donating her hair to cancer survivor's wig making, my ponytail will also be donated to: https://www.facebook.com/CanCutCanHelp

With a great cause in hand, nobody could stop me now :D

:-) The old me

Taking a little inspiration from Halle Berry and few other random ladies with short hairs, I went for this.

At Indulge Salon, Bhubaneswar. After immediate cut, hairs were too spiky which settled down after a wash.

I’m loving this hassle free look and this change. Although many people have had negative reviews about it but I haven't cared much. I love it! A short hair cut doesn't make me any less women than I am!

My folks were cool about it.  For most people it came as a shock to see me like this. I knew how many girls envied my hair :D But lets take a chill pill, these are only hairs and they'll grow back. Nothing to fuss about. Till then lemme enjoy my easy-hair-days with short time to wash them and dry. :-)

My Shimla Trip - Day 3 and 4

Continuing my post from my last 'all-girls-hangout-trip' !

On third day in Shimla, we took our booked cab and went for a city tour. It was good cold and we enjoyed our ride while sightseeing the beautiful places, covered in pine trees and scenic mountains with little houses all over it. We went to a adventure place and did go-karting (super-duper fun!), had awesome food, nibbled a lot, gossiped, laughed and enjoyed ourselves a lot :-)

Day fourth, we went in exploring a local wildlife sanctuary and a place called Naldehra. That was supposedly a golf place. We didn't took the local horse ride, but took a walk instead. It was a nice, green, hilly, chilly place. We had lots of tea and coffee in between of course ;-)

After this, with an overnight bus journey we were back to New Delhi.

Girls should definitely have such experience once. Chucking all responsibility and fear. Having all girls fun and exploring new places, people and food. There's a different kind of bonding one gets into and the fun is incomparable. You learn a lot, outta the comfort zone and come out with a different perspective than before :-)

A post of food remains from this trip, that I shall post next.

Meanwhile wishing you all a very great new year ahead. <3
